One of the largest and most reputed Steel Producers in the world has recently selected SALICO for the supply of two State of the Art Automotive Coil Inspection Lines to be installed in one of their Plants in India.

The lines will include a very high degree of Automation, with Automatic de-banding stations at the entry sides, Spot welders, Thickness gauges, Inspection cabin for both sides of the strip in both horizontal and vertical positions, High speed scrapping stations, Laser welders, Side trimming, Electrostatic re-oiling facilties with automatic measurement of the oil thickness layer, automatic strapping of the coils at the exit side with auto labels application, etc. One of the lines will also include a Tension Leveling stand located at its entry side. A very complete Level II system will connect the two lines with the customer´s Level III and Plant Mes.

SALICO has been present in last edition of Aluminum USA, held in Nashville, TN. SALICO product portfolio of aluminum strip finishing lines (slitting, cut to length, tension leveling, blanking, cleaning, degreasing and packaging) has been promoted by SES SALICO joint venture company, in charge of the North American market sales.

Salmec Automation, one of our two Group companies dedicated to the design and manufacturing of SALICO Finishing lines electrical and automation equipments, is expanding its manufacturing plant increasing its capacity with an additional 1,000 m2 of covered surface. The expansion also includes the addition of two training rooms and one hot-line support room for remote monitoring service with our customers worldwide.

Last week SALICO has been present at the Metec fair where it has presented its latest developments in Process and Finishing lines such as the Hybrid Cut to length lines for the automotive sector to cut trapezoids and curved sheets for both aluminum and steel.

Also within the ever-growing automotive sector, it is worth mentioning new generation of SALICO inspection and cutting lines for aluminum coils, with high speed scrapping, efficient leveling, automatic surface inspection, side trimming with center cut facilities and dry lub re-oiling.

IBERFOIL trusts SALICO for the supply of their new tension levelling line for their Aluminium Rolling Plant in Sabiñanigo, Spain. This Rolling Plant, part of the ALIBERICO group was formerly owned and run by ALCOA and is specialized in the production of high quality foils of different types. The ALIBERICO group has seventeen aluminium processing plants present in four continents and its products cover the packaging, closures, transportation and construction sectors mainly.

The tension levelling line will be installed in a new building and will process aluminium alloys of the 1xxx, 3xxx, 5xxx and 8xxx series, thickness range from 0.2 up to 1.6 mm and maximum strip width of 1.650 mm.

Space will be foreseen for the future installation of a high performing cleaning section at a second stage of the project.

The line will start production during the second quarter of 2020.

Ardemagni, the joint venture between the Steel producers DUFERCO and CHINA STEEL, located in Milan, Italy has placed their confidence in SALICO for the supply of two twin slitting lines.

The two new lines will slit silicon steel coils for further production of delicate parts for the automotive industry.

Once again SALICO has been selected for the supply of highly technological equipment, fully designed and manufactured at our own premises.

In the continuous renewal of its manufacturing department, Salico is pleased to announce that in March 2019 it installed a NEW MOBILE COLUMN CENTER on three SACHMAN axes.

The new high rigidity cutter 3000 x 1200x 1200 allows to work at high speed and high precision.

The cutter will be mainly dedicated to the processing of wedges and segments of the mandrels, increasing productivity and quality thanks to the moving head at millesimal degrees
